I was curious if the current recession is limiting work for freelance web & marketing persons

Answer by shadowjakFreelance is really the only way I'm getting work any more. No one wants an on-staff web designer. You just have to target businesses that have old/terrible/out of date websites, and present to them how a new website could increase profits.
